Gibran Accompanied by Jan Ethes Arrives at Istiqlal Mosque for Eid al-Fitr Prayer

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. Gibran will perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer for 1447 H.

Observations at the location on Saturday (21/3/2026) showed that Gibran Rakabuming Raka arrived at Istiqlal Mosque around 06:47 WIB. Gibran was wearing a cream-coloured shirt.

Gibran was accompanied by his son, Jan Ethes Sinarendra. He was wearing an outfit in the same colour as Gibran.

Subsequently, Gibran was seen sitting between Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar. Gibran was also seen wearing a black peci.

In addition, a number of high-ranking state officials will also perform Eid prayer at Istiqlal Mosque this morning. Among them are MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, Chairman of Commission VIII Marwan Dasopang, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Correctional Services Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Bawaslu Chairman Rahmat Bagja, and DPD Chairman Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin. Furthermore, National Development Planning Minister/Head of National Development Planning Agency Rachmat Pambudi and Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni were also seen arriving.

For information, the Eid al-Fitr prayer 1447 H at Istiqlal Mosque will begin at 07:00 WIB. The khatib on duty is Rector of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Prof Noorhadi Hasan, with the theme ‘Eid al-Fitr Victory Sowing Goodness, Achieving Blessings’.

The officials for the Eid al-Fitr prayer 1447 H at Istiqlal Mosque include Ahmad Husni Ismail acting as imam and Ahmad Rofiuddin Mahfudz as substitute imam. Then, ustaz Harmoko as Bilal I and ustaz Ahmad Achwani as Bilal II.
