A team from the UPTD Pusdalops Penanggulangan Bencana of the Bali Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the Tabanan Regency Government visited the Command Center 112 in Gianyar. The visit focused on following up the development of emergency services in the disaster sector initiated by the Bali BPBD.

I Gusti Ngurah Dibya Presasta, Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division at the Gianyar BPBD, stated that Gianyar’s 112 emergency service has become a reference for the development of the Bali Emergency Service (BES). BES is an integrated emergency service system covering all regions in Bali.

‘The Command Center 112 emergency service has become a reference in the development of the Bali Emergency Service at the provincial level,’ Dibya said in a statement on Thursday (9/7/2026).

Dibya explained that the delegation from Bali BPBD and Tabanan Regency did not merely observe the control room of the Gianyar Command Center. He noted that the moment served as an opportunity to share experiences regarding emergency service management.

Discussions covered regulations, operational mechanisms, the use of information technology, operator management, and cross-departmental coordination patterns with vertical agencies. The delegation also explored the reporting flow from citizens to the relevant emergency agencies.

‘We discussed how every public report can be forwarded quickly to the authorised agencies, ranging from BPBD, the Communication and Informatics Agency, the Fire and Rescue Service, PSC 119, the Police, Satpol PP, PLN, PUPR, to other relevant regional apparatus,’ Dibya said.

I Wayan Suryawan, Head of UPTD Pusdalops for Disaster Management at Bali BPBD, praised the existence of the Gianyar Command Center 112. According to him, the service demonstrates the commitment of all elements working in solid coordination.

‘Technology can be provided, but the success of the service is determined by the commitment, coordination, and consistency of all parties working together,’ Suryawan said.

Suryawan assessed that inter-agency commitment and coordination are crucial in handling emergencies reported by residents and tourists. He added that the speed of handling citizens’ emergency reports is equally important.

‘Ultimately, emergency services are not just about how quickly we receive reports. What is more important is how well we can collaborate so that every report can be followed up quickly, accurately, and truly saves the community,’ he concluded.
