Gianyar Trials Digital Social Assistance, Verification Through Integrated System
The Gianyar Regency Government, through its Social Service, has commenced a trial for the digitisation of social assistance data involving 106 participants. The trial is being conducted via the Social Protection Portal (Parlinsos) to enhance the accuracy of recipient data while strengthening transparency in aid distribution.
The activity is part of a limited launch (piloting) of social assistance digitisation in Bali Province before a wider rollout. The trial was carried out with residents in Blahbatuh District because there are facilitators and agents available to assist social assistance participants who have activated their Digital Population Identity.
The trial focuses on two social assistance programmes: the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)/Basic Food Assistance. All participant data for these two programmes was input by agents and facilitators involved in programme implementation, including PKH facilitators, social rehabilitation facilitators, and posyandu cadres in the Blahbatuh District area.
All data entered by agents and facilitators is integrated with data from various related ministries, agencies, and institutions. The trial will reveal the system’s verification process to ensure social assistance is distributed to eligible residents. This integration allows the system to perform direct verification to determine the eligibility of prospective social assistance recipients, so the distribution process is expected to be better targeted and more accurately delivered.
Should the verification results indicate that a prospective recipient does not meet the criteria, the agent or the community member proposed can submit an appeal through the same portal. This mechanism is expected to improve data accuracy while strengthening transparency in social assistance distribution. The results of this limited trial will serve as evaluation material for refining the system before the implementation of social assistance digitisation is expanded to other areas.
