The Gianyar Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is assisting with flash flood disaster response in Banjar District, Kecamatan Banjar, Buleleng. A number of personnel and equipment have been deployed.
“The involvement of Gianyar BPBD is part of efforts to demonstrate solidarity and cooperation among district and city BPBDs across Bali in assisting communities affected by disasters,” said I Gusti Ngurah Dibya Presasta, Head of Emergency and Logistics Division at Gianyar BPBD, in a statement to detikBali on Friday (31 March 2026).
Dibya stated that dozens of personnel have been deployed with wheelbarrows, chainsaws, water sprayers, shovels, spades, and squeegees to clean up the aftermath of the flash flood in Buleleng. A number of supporting equipment have also been used on site to clear mud, wood, and other materials swept away by the flood.
“These materials are hampering activities in Buleleng. For this reason, we are assisting with the cleanup process to restore the community environment and enable residents’ activities to return to normal,” Dibya explained.
Dibya stated that conditions in the areas affected by the flash flood in Banjar District are currently reported to be improving. The cleanup process continues so that residents can resume normal activities as soon as possible.
“We continue to work in synergy and are prepared to assist with disaster management across Bali as a form of humanitarian solidarity and inter-regional cooperation,” Dibya clarified.
