Gianyar Regent emphasises accuracy of 2025 financial reports
Gianyar, Bali (ANTARA) — The Regent of Gianyar, Bali, I Made Mahayastra has emphasised the importance of data accuracy in the preparation of the 2025 local government financial report (LKPD) to ensure compliance with government accounting standards before audit by the Financial Audit Board (BPK).
“All district apparatus must ensure that financial reports are prepared completely and correctly,” said Mahayastra during a preparatory meeting for the compilation of the unaudited 2025 LKPD in Gianyar, Bali, on Monday.
He stressed the importance of the forum as a coordination mechanism to ensure that the local government financial reporting process proceeds on schedule and in accordance with applicable regulations.
According to Mahayastra, timeliness is a critical indicator because the report will serve as the basis for BPK scrutiny.
In his direction, he also emphasised the importance of thoroughness, discipline, and coordination amongst district agencies in preparing all financial report documentation.
The Unaudited LKPD for the 2025 financial year must be submitted to the BPK Bali Provincial Office no later than the end of March 2026, in accordance with regulations regarding the submission of local government financial reports.
The meeting was attended by the Gianyar District Secretary I Gusti Bagus Adi Widya Utama and a number of heads of Regional Organisational Units (OPD), the District Finance and Asset Management Agency, and the Inspectorate, all of which play a role in the process of preparing and overseeing financial reports.
In addition to discussing the preparation schedule, the meeting also addressed the stages of financial data reconciliation amongst district agencies and the completeness of supporting documentation before the report is finalised and submitted to the BPK.
Regent Mahayastra hopes that all district apparatus can work optimally so that the preparation of the 2025 LKPD can be completed on time.
“This also reflects transparent, accountable, and professional local financial management,” he added.
