They will follow up on every complaint received if problems arise regarding THR payments.
He urged all companies in Gianyar Regency to maintain a conducive industrial relations climate by paying THR on time.
“This is not merely a regulatory obligation, but also a form of appreciation to workers who have contributed to driving the region’s economic growth,” added Suardana.
Suardana explained that THR calculations are based on the Circular of the Minister of Manpower to avoid errors in THR payment implementation.
Employees with a period of service of one month or less than 12 months are given pro rata based on the length of service in months divided by 12, multiplied by one month’s wage.
Daily or freelance workers with 12 months or more of service, he said, are paid one month’s wage based on the average pay received in the 12 months preceding the religious holiday.
“If the period of service is less than 12 months, one month’s wage is calculated based on the average pay received per month during the period of service,” he said.
Meanwhile, for workers whose wages depend on production, one month’s pay is calculated based on the average wage over the last 12 months prior to the religious holiday.
“If a company rule sets a THR value higher than government provisions in the employment agreement or company regulations, the company must pay according to the higher amount,” he added.
