Gianyar Regency Government Secures Two Intellectual Property Rights Certificates, Including Video and Health Module Works
The Gianyar Regency Government has secured two Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) certificates from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. The HKI certificates consist of copyrights for a cinematographic work and a module.
“The Gianyar Regency Government has received two Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) certificates in the form of copyrights for works,” said Regent of Gianyar I Made Mahayastra in his statement on Thursday (2/4/2026).
Mahayastra explained that the cinematographic copyright is titled “Bimbingan Teknis dan Outbound Kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah di Lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Gianyar.” Meanwhile, the module copyright obtained is “Jambore JKN Gianyar ‘Gerakan Gianyar Aman Sehat Bahagia melalui Stakeholder Engagement Meningkatkan Pelayanan Kesehatan Bermutu sebagai Implementasi UHC Gianyar Berkualitas’.”
With the HKI, legal protection is provided for these two works. There are exclusive rights for the creator or rights holder over audiovisual works such as films, videos, animations, and similar content as creative outputs. Therefore, these two HKI are hoped to serve as motivation for local government officials to continue creating and innovating.
“We hope this HKI protection can encourage the birth of more innovations and works from local government ranks, especially in improving the quality of public services, particularly in the health sector,” said Mahayastra.
Previously reported, the HKI certificate was obtained by the PAUD Bunda Ida Ayu Surya Adnyani Mahayastra or Dayu Surya. The HKI certificate was obtained after going through various processes starting from submission to the Ministry of Law through the Gianyar Regency Brida KI Centre.
The HKI certificate validates personal innovations based on regional innovation data at the State Early Childhood Education Institution (PAUD) Taman Penitipan Anak Negeri Gianyar. That institution is the only state-run childcare centre based on government in Bali.
