Gianyar Regency Government in Bali Scouts for Early Childhood Education Innovations Down to Village Level

The Gianyar Regency Government in Bali is scouting for innovations from local women leaders (Bunda PAUD) regarding Early Childhood Education (PAUD) down to the village level to support quality services for children from an early age. “This is part of improving the quality of early childhood education delivery from the village, sub-district to regency level,” said the Acting Head of the Gianyar Regency Education Office, I Wayan Mawa, in Gianyar on Tuesday. They are assessed based on innovation in socialisation and advocacy, the reach of advocacy, and the quality and relevance of work programmes. In addition, supporting criteria are used, such as partnerships with various organisations, the implementation of parental activities, support for the socialisation of central government policies towards quality PAUD, community participation, supervision and evaluation, and regional coordination. They are evaluated by the Bunda PAUD of Gianyar Regency, who is also the wife of Gianyar Regent Surya Adnyani Mahayastra, a representative from Bali Province’s Education Quality Assurance Agency (BPMP), and the Indonesian Association of Early Childhood Educators and Education Personnel (Himpaudi) of Bali Province. Meanwhile, Gianyar’s Bunda PAUD, Surya Adnyani Mahayastra, appreciated the various innovations presented by the Bunda PAUD leaders in supporting early childhood education services in their respective areas. These innovations are considered a tangible manifestation of commitment and care in ensuring children receive quality educational services from an early age. Dayu Surya expressed hope that this event to scout for PAUD service innovations would serve as motivation for these local leaders to continue innovating and strengthen synergy in realising quality, inclusive and sustainable PAUD services for all children in Gianyar Regency.
