Gianyar Police Resort and Bhayangkari Share Takjil at Two Mosques
Gianyar Police Resort personnel, together with the Bhayangkari Branch of Gianyar, distributed takjil to Muslims at two mosques in the Gianyar area. The activity, held during the holy month of Ramadan, was expected to strengthen togetherness among the community.
Gianyar Police Chief AKBP Chandra C Kesuma, together with the head of the Bhayangkari Branch of Gianyar Ajeng Chandra, attended the takjil distribution on Friday (6 March 2026). Also present were the Gianyar Deputy Chief of Police, senior officers (PJU) of the Gianyar Police, the sector chiefs of Gianyar and Blahbatuh, and the Bhayangkari Gianyar Branch leadership.
‘Through this activity we wish to share happiness with the community that is fasting. This is also a manifestation of Polri’s presence in the community, not only in maintaining security, but also through social activities that bring benefit,’ AKBP Chandra said in a statement on Saturday (7 March 2026).
The first takjil distribution was conducted at Masjid Agung Al-A’la Gianyar around 17:43 WITA. The takjil was received by the Mosque’s Prosperity Council (Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid) Nur Widyaswanto and then symbolic handed to a representative of the Muslim community who would perform the breaking of the fast.
Next, the takjil distribution continued at Masjid Nurul Yaqin, Bedulu Village, Blahbatuh Sub-district, at 18:00 WITA, led by the Gianyar Deputy Chief of Police along with personnel and Bhayangkari leadership. The takjil were distributed to mosque administrators and children taking part in the activities at the mosque.
Chandra explained that Ramadan is a moment to strengthen togetherness. He hopes that Ramadan moments can also reinforce the values of interfaith tolerance in Gianyar.
‘We hope activities like this can further strengthen the relationship between the Police and the community and keep the Kamtibmas situation in Gianyar Regency safe, peaceful and conducive,’ he concluded.
