The Gianyar Resort Police (Polres Gianyar) held a joint prayer session to welcome Bhayangkara Day 2026. The interfaith prayer involved religious leaders and was also attended by orphans from the Yapenatim Foundation.

“The activity took place solemnly, orderly, and smoothly, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and Polres Gianyar’s commitment to strengthening unity and tolerance among religious communities,” said Gianyar Police Chief AKBP Chandra Kesuma in a statement on Monday (30/6/2026).

The joint prayer was held at the Gianyar Police Headquarters starting at 2.30 p.m. WITA. The activity was also coupled with the handing over of donations to orphans, a group photo session, and concluded with the singing of the song ‘Bagimu Negeri’.

The Gianyar Police also watched a live broadcast of a joint prayer organised by the National Police Headquarters. Chandra explained that the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration was a momentum to strengthen ties of friendship, brotherhood, and synergy between the police and religious leaders in maintaining interfaith harmony in Gianyar.

“We invite all participants to jointly offer prayers so that the security and public order situation in Gianyar Regency remains safe and conducive,” said Chandra.

Furthermore, Chandra stated that the activity was an expression of gratitude from the Gianyar Police for carrying out their duties as protectors, guardians, and public servants. “It is an expression of gratitude to God while also asking for strength, safety, and ease,” he added.
