Gianyar Police District Holds Operation Parade for Operation Ketupat Agung 2026
The Gianyar Police District held a troop parade at the Tri Brata Parade Ground of Gianyar Police District on Thursday afternoon, 12 March 2026, for Operation Ketupat Agung 2026. The parade was led by Deputy Police Commander of Gianyar, Kompol Willa Jully Nendissa, and attended by representatives of the military, police, and related agencies in Gianyar.
This activity demonstrated the readiness of personnel and infrastructure for securing the Islamic New Year celebrations (Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah) and managing the holiday traffic flow during Lebaran 2026.
The parade was attended by senior officials of Gianyar Police District, precinct commanders, and representatives of related agencies including the Department of Transportation, Civil Service Police, the National Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Health Department, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Jasa Raharja, the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB), and the Gianyar District Pecalang Security.
In his address, Deputy Commander Willa read out the National Police Chief’s directive, emphasising the importance of inter-agency coordination in maintaining security during the Lebaran holiday period.
“This troop parade represents a verification of personnel and infrastructure readiness, as well as a demonstration of cross-sectoral commitment and coordination to ensure the success of Operation Ketupat 2026 so that the holiday traffic and Eid al-Fitr celebrations can proceed safely, comfortably, orderly and smoothly,” said Willa.
He also stated that Operation Ketupat 2026 will be conducted centrally for 13 days, from 13 to 25 March 2026, involving personnel from the police, military, and related agencies.
In addition to managing traffic flow, officers were instructed to anticipate potential security and public order disruptions, such as conventional crime, illegal racing, and the risk of hydrometeorological disasters due to weather conditions.
“We call on all parties to continue strengthening solidarity and coordination in every operational task, so that security for Eid al-Fitr can proceed well and provide a sense of security and comfort to the community,” he added.
The troop parade also included the presentation of operation badges, inspection of operational vehicles and supporting infrastructure, and concluded with a group photograph.
