Gianyar Police Chief Participates in Bali Clean-Up Movement at Lembeng Ketewel Beach

Gianyar Police Chief Candra C Kusuma directly participated in a beach clean-up activity at Lembeng Beach, Ketewel Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar, Bali. The activity, titled the Bali Clean-Up Movement, represented a commitment to maintaining environmental cleanliness.

“This beach clean-up activity was carried out simultaneously as a demonstration of collective concern to keep Bali clean and beautiful,” said Candra in a statement on Sunday (1 March 2026).

The activity was also attended by Assistant III of Gianyar Regional Government Ketut Pasek Lanang Sadia, Commander of Kodim 1616/Gianyar Rizal Wijaya, Chairwoman of TP PKK Gianyar District Ida Ayu Ketut Surya Adnyani, and leadership of regional government agencies (OPD) of Gianyar District Government. Additionally, attendees included the Sukawati Police Chief, Head of Public Order and Maritime Police units of Gianyar Police, and the Traditional Village Chief of Lembeng Ketut Sukandi.

Participants in the beach clean-up activity comprised personnel from Kodim 1616/Gianyar, Gianyar Police, Gianyar District Government, Engineering Battalion 18/YKR, Mechanical Company 741, students, and residents of Lembeng Traditional Village. They appeared enthusiastic in sweeping and collecting rubbish along Lembeng Beach.

“This activity is expected to have a positive impact on Bali in general and Gianyar District in particular,” said Candra.

Candra emphasised that this activity also demonstrated genuine synergy between the military-police (TNI-Polri), regional government, and society in preserving nature. He described the programme as an effort to support sustainable Bali tourism.
