Driver’s License Renewal Fees

Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 regarding Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) regulates the costs for licence renewals. The renewal fees based on this regulation are as follows:

• Class A (Cars): IDR 80,000

• Class C (Motorcycles): IDR 75,000

Requirements for Renewal

Members of the public are advised to complete the following requirements so that their renewal applications can be processed:

• Bring original ID card (KTP) and a photocopy

• Bring original Driver’s License (SIM) and a photocopy

• Provide a medical certificate and a psychological certificate

The mobile SIM service only handles renewal applications for Class A (cars) and Class C (motorcycles) licences that are still active or have not yet expired. This service cannot be used for new licence applications, replacing lost licences, or renewing licences that have already expired.

If the licence has already expired, owners must apply for a new licence at the Satpas office, as renewal via the mobile service is no longer possible. The key point emphasised is to ensure the licence validity period has not lapsed before using the mobile SIM service.
