Gianyar Labour Office Opens 2026 THR Complaint Desk; THR Must Be Paid in Full, Not in Installments
The Gianyar Regency Government has opened a THR 2026 Task Force Post to provide consultation and to receive complaints from workers regarding the payment of the holiday allowance (THR). The move comes ahead of Idul Fitri 2026.
Head of the Gianyar Regency Labour Office, I Gede Suardana Putra, urged all companies in the region to pay THR in full to their employees. ‘We urge all companies in Gianyar Regency to be disciplined. THR must be paid in full and may not be paid in installments,’ Suardana said in a briefing to detikBali on Saturday, 7 March 2026.
Suardana explained that the provision of THR is regulated in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2026 on the Implementation of the Payment of Religious Holiday Allowance (THR). The regulation also includes provisions on how the THR amount is calculated for workers. ‘Therefore, companies are obliged to pay THR to all employees as a religious right,’ he said.
THR Calculation Formula
Suardana noted that companies can refer to the SE Menaker 2026 to avoid errors when calculating and paying THR to workers.
Employees with 12 months of continuous service or more are entitled to THR equal to one full month’s wage.
Meanwhile, employees with more than one month but less than 12 months of service receive THR pro rata. The calculation uses the length of service in months divided by 12, then multiplied by one month’s wage.
‘Then multiply by one month’s wage,’ he explained.
The THR amount for casual workers also has its own provisions. Casual workers with 12 months of service are entitled to THR equal to the average wage received in the 12 months prior to the festive day. If service is less than 12 months, the pay for one month is calculated based on the average wage received each month during the period of service. For workers whose wages depend on production, one month’s pay is calculated based on the average wage for the 12 months before the religious holiday.
‘If a company’s rules set a THR value higher than government provisions in the labour agreement or company regulations, the company is obliged to pay according to the higher amount,’ he said.
Consultation and Complaint Services
Suardana said the THR 2026 Task Force Post is open to assist workers who wish to consult or report issues related to THR payments. In addition to in-person visits, workers can also submit complaints online via the official site of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia at https://poskothr.kemnaker.go.id.
‘We hope all companies in Gianyar Regency will maintain industrial peace by paying THR on time. This is not only a regulatory obligation but also a form of appreciation for workers who have contributed to driving local economic growth,’ he said.
