The Gianyar Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) together with the Bali Information Commission (KI) held a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) session on the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Openness (KIP) for 2026. All state agencies in Gianyar are required to understand the supervision guidelines for public information openness.

“Through this technical guidance, it is hoped that all public bodies in Gianyar Regency will increasingly understand the 2026 monitoring and evaluation guidelines for public information openness,” said I Wayan Adi Aryanta, Commissioner for Socialisation, Education, and Public Communication at KI Bali, in a statement on Tuesday (30/6/2026).

Aryanta explained that several guidelines were discussed in the monitoring and evaluation session. These include the consistency of sustainable information services, readiness to implement information service standards in the field, and the qualification of compliance levels for each public body. The instruments discussed will assess which government agencies have implemented public openness in accordance with statutory regulations.

“Thus, the quality of public information services can continue to improve from year to year,” Aryanta said. He revealed that all public bodies are required to carry out the monitoring and evaluation to the fullest extent, namely by completing all supporting data. The results will serve as the region’s report card. “We hope that all public bodies can achieve an informative predicate,” he said.

I Wayan Darma, Commissioner for Socialisation, Education, and Public Communication at KI Bali, stated that the monitoring and evaluation is a routine annual agenda. The aim is to strengthen good governance through the fulfilment of supporting data, which has become part of daily task execution. “Do not consider this monitoring and evaluation a burden because it is a routine annual activity. The supporting data requested is essentially activities that have indeed been carried out every day,” Darma said.

According to him, all public agencies are expected to be able to prepare all assessment instruments optimally in order to realise transparent, accountable governance oriented towards quality information services.
