Gianyar DPRD Recommends Accelerating Road Repairs Until 2027
Gianyar, Bali (ANTARA) - The Gianyar Regency DPRD in Bali has provided several recommendations to the Gianyar Regency Government, one of which concerns accelerating road repairs targeted until 2027. “Chase the target of repairing all regency roads,” said Deputy Chairman of the Gianyar DPRD, Tjokorda Gde Asmara Putra Sukawati, during the Plenary Session on the Accountability Statement Report in Gianyar, Bali, on Monday. His side also encourages the development of irrigation networks and farm roads to support the Farmer Protection Regional Regulation. In addition, accelerating the resolution of congestion in Ubud with traffic lights, traffic engineering, and the construction of central parking. Besides road repairs, the legislature also conveyed recommendations for re-registering non-civil servant teachers and encouraging their inclusion in the basic education data (dapodik) to be paid using school operational assistance funds (BOS). In the health sector, the DPRD recommends that the Gianyar Regency Government conduct intensive coordination with the central government to address inactive premium assistance recipients (PBI). In general, he continued, various programmes and activities have been carried out well by the Gianyar Regency Government, including achievements in regional development macro indicators, with the Human Development Index (HDI) increasing from 80.23 to 80.96 in the very high category. Then, economic growth increased from 5.47 per cent to 5.89 per cent. “However, improvements need to be continuously pursued so that achievements can be further optimised,” he said. The DPRD also recommends that the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (PTSP) improve performance, supported by expert personnel or consultants who can assist business actors so that there are no more companies in Gianyar operating without permits. This is because he claims to have received many inputs from the public regarding obstacles with the integrated online single submission (OSS) licensing system. Meanwhile, Regent of Gianyar Made Mahayastra admitted to paying attention to perfecting government administration for good and clean governance. The Regent emphasised that development can be realised if there is harmonious cooperation between the regional head and the DPRD, apparatus loyalty, and public participation. “The harmonious cooperation and coordination that has been established can continue to be maintained and enhanced. We will always be open to exchanging ideas in discussing and addressing emerging issues,” he said.
