Gianyar DPRD Approves 2025 Budget Accountability Report, Bupati Highlights Financial Governance

The Gianyar Regency Legislative Council (DPRD) has approved the accountability report for the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD) during a plenary session. Bupati I Made Agus Mahayastra stated that the report represents the local government’s responsibility to the community regarding regional financial management for the 2025 fiscal year. He confirmed that all criticism and input from council members would be executed. The approval will be formalised into a regional regulation, which is expected to enhance the quality of government services, improve development, and increase the welfare of the Gianyar community, particularly in aspects of planning, control, supervision, and financial management. Mahayastra noted that future development challenges will be increasingly complex, necessitating strengthened synergy between the regional government and the DPRD to ensure policies effectively address community needs, strengthen regional competitiveness, maintain development sustainability, and realise the vision of a progressive and competitive Gianyar rooted in Balinese cultural values. Deputy Chairman of the Gianyar DPRD, Tjokorda Gde Asmara Putra Sukawati, stated that the accountability report had undergone careful, transparent discussion based on principles of accountability and effectiveness. He urged all regional apparatus organisations to consider the considerations and general views of the factions for the improvement of governance in Gianyar.
