Gianyar Achieves Third Best National Ranking in 2026 Investment Service Awards
The Gianyar Regency Government has once again recorded a national achievement. Through the 2026 Investment Service Awards (ALI) presented by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM RI, Gianyar successfully achieved the Third Best Ranking for Regency-level Governments for its performance in One-Stop Integrated Services (PTSP) and the Acceleration of Business Implementation (PPB), earning the ‘Prima’ (Excellent) category distinction.
This award places Gianyar among the top three out of 416 regencies across Indonesia. Gianyar was also the only regency from Bali Province to be nominated in this category. The award was presented directly to the Regent of Gianyar, I Made Mahayastra, by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Bima Arya, at an event held at the Nusantara Auditorium, Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM RI, Jakarta, on Tuesday (15/9).
At the Regency Government level, Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra, achieved First Place, followed by Semarang Regency, Central Java, as Second Place, and Gianyar Regency, Bali, as Third Place.
For the Gianyar Regency Government, this award serves as appreciation for its consistency in building investment services that are increasingly easy, fast, transparent, and provide certainty for the community and business actors.
Regent of Gianyar, I Made Maherysatra, stated that this achievement is the result of collaborative efforts by technical regional agencies that have played a role in improving the quality of investment and licensing services.
“This award is the result of the collective work of all ranks of the Gianyar Regency Government. The most important thing is not just the award we receive, but how we continue to improve services to the community and business actors,” said Regent Mahayastra.
According to him, investment services do not end with the completion of the licensing process. The local government also has a responsibility to ensure that business activities can run smoothly after the permit is issued.
Therefore, the Acceleration of Business Implementation (PPB) is a vital component that continues to be strengthened. Acceleration involves not only administrative processes but also how various obstacles in the realisation of business activities can be handled quickly, accurately, and in an integrated manner.
“Investment must provide benefits to the community. We want investments present in Gianyar to be able to drive the economy, create jobs, and increase community welfare,” Mahayastra emphasised.
In this effort, synergy between the Gianyar Regency DPMPTSP, technical regional agencies, and business actors is key. Collaboration is required so that services do not operate partially and every problem that arises in business implementation can receive an immediate solution.
The achievement also reflects the cross-departmental work in supporting the creation of a conducive investment ecosystem. Moving forward, the Gianyar Regency Government does not view this award as a final destination. The ‘Prima’ service distinction serves as a motivation to continue evaluation, improvement, and innovation so that the quality of investment services becomes increasingly responsive to the needs of the business world.
