PROBOLINGGO, East Java: Doctors at the Waluyo General Hospital
removed a 35 kilogram tumor from the womb of a woman during a two
hour operation on Wednesday.

The woman was reported to be in fine condition following the
operation, the Antara news agency reported.

This is the biggest tumor the hospital has ever removed from a
patient. The previous record was 10 kg.

Doctors said that the woman had delayed going to see a doctor
because she was trying to avoid surgery. (emb)
