Giant 100-Metre Red and White Flag Unfurled on Bogor Streets

The spirit of independence stretched across the main streets of Bogor City, West Java. High school students participated in the Red and White Parade on Sunday (9/8/2026), carrying five sections of the red and white cloth measuring a total of 100 by 6 metres. The activity was part of the 2026 Red and White Festival to welcome the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence. Deputy Home Affairs Minister Bima Arya Sugiarto joined the students in the parade, which was a way for Bogor residents to welcome the month of independence with a spirit of unity and togetherness.
