The management of GH Universal Hotel Bandung has officially denied rumours circulating on social media that the hotel is being sold for a staggering Rp1 trillion. Through an official statement, the hotel confirmed that the information is false and that the property is not for sale.
A viral post on various social media platforms claimed the hotel was being offered for 60 million US dollars, equivalent to approximately Rp1.076 trillion. The post included detailed specifications of the property, such as a land area of 14,700 square metres, a building area of 12,000 square metres, freehold title status, five floors, and 105 rooms. It also outlined transaction mechanisms requiring prospective buyers to submit a Letter of Intent, a proof of funds, and other documents before contacting a listed number.
“Responding to the baseless rumours circulating on social media regarding the sale of GH Universal Bandung, we officially state on behalf of the owner that GH Universal Hotel is not for sale,” management said in a statement on Sunday. The hotel firmly distanced itself from any consequences arising from the false information and warned that it is prepared to take strict legal action against the parties responsible for spreading the hoax.
