Getting to Know Rudi Margono, the New Acting Jampidsus with a Long Track Record in the Prosecutor's Office
The resignation of Febrie Adriansyah from the position of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) has drawn public attention to the figure appointed to fill the role. Shortly after the resignation was accepted, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin immediately appointed Rudi Margono as the Acting (Plt) Jampidsus.
Rudi Margono’s name has thus come under the spotlight. Although he has long had a career in the Adhyaksa Corps and held various important positions, many members of the public still want to know who Rudi Margono is, his career path, and his track record before being entrusted to temporarily lead the special crimes division at the Attorney General’s Office.
Rudi Margono was appointed as Acting Jampidsus through the Attorney General’s Warrant Number PRINT-76/A/JA/07/2026. This step was taken to ensure that all duties, functions, and authorities within the Jampidsus continue to operate until a definitive official is appointed.
Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stressed that the change in leadership would not affect the ongoing legal process. “All handling of special crime cases continues to proceed professionally, independently, and in accordance with statutory regulations,” he said.

Born in Magetan, East Java, on 6 December 1969, he began his career in 1994 as a staff member at the Magetan District Prosecutor’s Office.
