Getting to Know Benwit, an Alternative Petrol from Palm Oil by ITS Researchers

Members of the research team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Syahrin Haifa, displayed the palm oil-based alternative fuel, ITS palm biogasoline (Benwit), at the ITS Research Centre Building in Surabaya, East Java, on Tuesday (7/4/2026). The ITS palm biogasoline (Benwit) was developed through modification of crude palm oil (CPO) and refined, bleached, and deodorized palm oil (RBDPO) using the catalytic cracking method as one of the alternative energy solutions to support national energy independence.
