President Prabowo Subianto will expand the single-window export monitoring scheme through PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (Persero) by adding more types of commodities starting from 1 January 2027.

This policy is intended to regularise foreign trade governance and halt export report manipulation practices, which are deemed to have harmed state finances. This was stated by Prabowo during a dialogue with senior journalists and experts at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Sunday (6/9/2026).

“Finally, DSI has emerged. It is a step forward. However, it requires a period of adjustment, and currently, there are only three commodities. From 1 January, more commodities will be added, and so on. We cannot force it to happen faster than it can,” said Prabowo, as quoted on Thursday (17/9/2026).

Currently, there are three commodities whose exports are managed by PT DSI: coal, crude palm oil (CPO), and ferroalloy or ferronickel.

Prabowo revealed that under-invoicing and transfer pricing practices, which have persisted for over 30 years, have caused massive leaks in state revenue. Over a 34-year period, the accumulated value of national wealth lost due to false export reports is estimated to reach US$ 908 billion, or approximately Rp 15,000 trillion.

“For a long time, over 30 years, our wealth has been… in my opinion, misappropriated by under-invoicing and transfer pricing practices. Essentially, it involves false reporting. For example, exporting 100 tonnes but reporting only 50 tonnes. This has caused us to lose a huge amount of money,” he said.

To address this, Prabowo held discussions with the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) and the National Economic Council (DEN), resulting in an agreement to implement a single-window export system based on DSI. Through DSI, the government can monitor the entire export transaction flow transparently, which has the potential to increase state revenue by at least 30%.

“The only way is to have a single-window export system. Finally, DSI has emerged… But it requires a three-month adjustment period, and that is only for three commodities; from 1 January, more commodities will be added,” Prabowo noted.

Through this measure, DSI is expected to be able to secure strategic commodities and national critical minerals from potential irregularities in goods traffic. Prabowo emphasised that restructuring the export system and closing leakage loopholes is a constitutional obligation of the government to ensure Indonesia’s natural wealth is managed to the greatest extent for the prosperity of the people.
