Gesits Operational Issues Disputed; Indomobil Emotor Cites It as Pioneer

JAKARTA – Reports of Gesits ceasing operations circulated amongst electric motorcycle users. However, the company has refuted these claims.

The rumours also reached other players in the electric motorcycle industry, including Indomobil Emotor.

“We don’t know either, but we pray that the management is doing well. The employees who work there, our friends are also doing well, and especially the consumers,” said Pius, who was met in Jakarta on Thursday (12 March 2026).

“Because that brand is one of the pioneers, the number of its consumers is certainly quite large. The question is about the network and the sustainability of after-sales services going forward,” he added.

Pius stated that each brand certainly has different business strategies in running its business.

Meanwhile, when contacted for confirmation, Gesits affirmed that its electric motorcycle sales activity in Indonesia remains operating normally.

“No, we’re still selling,” said Nurrahman when contacted on Wednesday (11 March 2026).

He added that the product line being marketed remains the same as before. Models currently available include the Gesits GV1, Gesits Raya, and Gesits G1.

“The product is still the same as before. The latest launch is the GV1. The G1 and Raya are also still available,” he said.
