Germany: No joint plan to end US-Israel war against Iran

Berlin (ANTARA) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated on Tuesday (10 March) that there is no joint plan to swiftly and convincingly end the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.

“This war has been ongoing for more than a week, and new problems continue to emerge,” Merz said during a joint press conference with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, who was visiting.

Merz noted that the war would impact German and European security and energy supply, whilst also affecting the migration situation.

He added that the war would not bring long-term security and stability for Israel and other regional partners, and would not align with the interests of the Iranian people.

Merz further stated that the world requires a stable and functional Iran as part of a regional peace and security order.
