Germany Invests US$ 25 Million in Batam

TEMPO Interactive, Batam :German company PT Epcos Indonesia has invested US$ 25 million in Batam, Riau Archipelago. The electronic company employing 3.500 people produces 200 million units of negative thermal censor per year. According to the company's vice president director, Norbert Hess, the products are exported to Europe and other parts of Asia.
Senior Director Stephen Samuel said the company has only used three hectares out of the entire five-hectare land it rents. The company will enhance its plant's capacity when demands from Europe increases.
