Germans missing on Mt. Sibayak

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Two Germans, Hans Jorg Eichhorn, 27, and Cristina Eichhorn, 30, have been reported as missing on Mount Sibayak, Brastagi, some 70 kilometers southeast of here.

Brastagi police sent a search and rescue team up the mountain, known for its difficult terrain, but they had not found the tourists by yesterday afternoon, Antara reported.

The tourists started climbing the mountain at 8:30 a.m. Monday, and were due to return to Lau Debuk-Debuk that afternoon.
