TEMPO Interactive, Berlin:The realization of German investments in Indonesia in the first semester of this year reached US$141.5 million. The amount was almost equal to the total German investments in Indonesia over the past year which covered 51 projects with a value of US$157.6 million.

Gita Wirjawan, Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board, believeS that based on its 2009 performance, when German investments covered 18 projects worth US$103.9 million, this year’s realization will continue to show an increase.

Germany has been on the 13th position of the list countries with biggest investments in Indonesia for the last ten years with a total 224 projects and investment value of US$856.2 million. Singapore ranked first with 1,369 projects worth US$19.7 billion.
