German firms seek partners

JAKARTA (JP): German medium and small sized companies are
looking for local partners in the sales of their photo products,
a visiting German executive said here yesterday.

The secretary of the Association of the German Precision
Mechanics and Optical Industries, Peter Kind, who is now leading
a trade delegation here, told reporters that the delegation's 26
members had been holding discussions with their potential local
partners on the possibility of cooperation in the sales of their
products.

The products, now being displayed in a three-day exhibition at
the Jakarta Convention Center to be ended today, included
professional and amateur camera systems, photolab equipment and
precision optics, he said.

The delegation members, he said, represented various
companies, such as Leica, Agfa, Minox, Rodenstock, and Rollei.

The showcase is organized by the German-Indonesian Chamber of
Industry and Commerce (Ekonid). (13)
