German corpse in morgue

JAKARTA (JP): The corpse of a German man kept at the Cipto
Mangunkusumo hospital's morgue since Feb. 27 has yet to be
claimed by his relatives.

A hospital official said yesterday that the body of M. Henning
Sciffer was sent by an employee of the state-owned shipping
company PT Pelni.

Sciffer, believed to have died of a serious illness during a
sea trip, was probably an expert crewman hired by the shipping
company, an official, who asked not to be identified said
yesterday.

There has been no official statement from PT Pelni on the 73-
year-old Sciffer.

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany could not be
reached for confirmation yesterday. (04)
