Gerindra Party’s Board of Honour chairman Ahmad Muzani has responded to President Prabowo Subianto’s warning that his aides should leave the cabinet if they feel unable to work on public holidays. Muzani said every presidential aide must give maximum support.

“I hope all the president’s aides can provide maximum support and backing for all the president’s policies,” Muzani said in the Widya Chandra area, South Jakarta, on Friday (28/8/2026).

Muzani said the support is needed so that the president does not walk alone. He said cooperation from ministers in the cabinet is essential.

“So that the president’s policies do not run alone, and receive support and backing from his ministers,” he said.

Muzani assessed that the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet have so far been supportive. He said cooperation can be carried out well.

“I see the ministers have also been quite sporting, quite massive in cooperating with the president’s policies,” he added.

Previously, Prabowo delivered a serious message to his ranks in the Red and White Cabinet. He warned that his aides should leave the cabinet if they felt unable to work on public holidays.

Prabowo made the statement during the groundbreaking for the construction of a 100 GWp solar power plant in Jembrana, Bali, which coincided with the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday on Tuesday (25/8). Prabowo said his cabinet continues to work almost without recognising holidays.

“Today is an important day, even though it is a holiday, even though it is the Prophet’s birthday, we are fighting for our people. Indeed, in the Red and White Cabinet there are almost no public holidays,” Prabowo said.

“And that is a risk, a risk of service. Those who cannot cope may step aside; many want to replace you,” he continued.
