Gerindra: Special Committee on Febrie Adriansyah Case Formed for Full Transparency

Muhammad Rahul, a member of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the Gerindra Party faction, has said that the formation of a Working Committee (Panja) aims to make the supervision of the handling of the alleged coal, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel (KS) corruption cases fully transparent. Former Special Prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Office (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, has been named a suspect in all three corruption cases.

“We, the Gerindra Party faction, agree to the formation of the supervisory Working Committee and to Pak Habiburokhman as its chairman, because this committee will shed greater light on the case and ensure it proceeds along the proper track,” said Muhammad Rahul during an internal meeting of Commission III of the DPR at the Senayan complex in Jakarta on Saturday (11/7/2026).

All faction representatives on Commission III of the DPR approved the formation of the working committee, chaired by Habiburokhman. Habiburokhman said the committee would directly monitor and supervise the handling of the three corruption cases.

“So it will technically monitor and directly supervise the implementation of the handling of these corruption cases, because this can truly be described as one of the mega-corruption cases, given the sheer volume — the evidence secured alone is already so vast,” said Habiburokhman.

Febrie Named Suspect in Three Corruption Cases

Acting Special Prosecutor (Plt Jampidsus) Rudi Margono received the transfer of the three corruption cases from the Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipikor). The cases were handed over to the Attorney General’s Office.

Margono said suspects had already been named: one from the private sector and another identified as F.

“The information we have is that two suspects have been named. The first is a private individual. The second is a civil servant, with the initials F,” said Margono at the Attorney General’s Office building in South Jakarta on Saturday (11/7).

The three cases involve alleged corruption in coal mining, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel. Police have searched a money changer and the Cafe de’Clan Signature in the Cipete area of South Jakarta, as well as a house in the Bogor area of West Java.

Police seized a range of evidence during the searches, from gold bars to foreign currency worth billions of rupiah.
