Gerindra Secretary-General Hosts Dinner for Party Leaders Ahead of Independence Day

A number of party secretaries-general gathered on Thursday evening (13/8). The meeting was hosted by Gerindra Secretary-General Sugiono at his residence. “(The meeting) is still ongoing. The host is Gerindra’s Secretary-General,” said Golkar Secretary-General M Sarmuji on Thursday evening. Sarmuji stated that there was no specific political agenda for the meeting, describing it as a gathering to foster silaturahmi over dinner. “Just silaturahmi and dinner. There is no specific agenda yet. A reflection ahead of 17 August to bring the ideals of independence closer,” he said. PKB Secretary-General Hasanuddin Wahid confirmed the meeting was a routine event to strengthen the government coalition. “Yes, a routine meeting. Silaturahmi to strengthen togetherness within the Red and White Coalition,” he said. He added that the officials also discussed solutions to public issues. “Exchanging updates on the real conditions of the nation and state, as well as efforts to find strategic solutions for the good of the people, nation, and state,” he said. Attendees included Democrat Secretary-General Herman Khaeron, PAN Secretary-General Eko Patrio, NasDem Secretary-General Hermawi Taslim, PKS Secretary-General Muhammad Kholid, PSI Secretary-General Raja Juli Antoni, Garuda Party Secretary-General Ihsan Jauhari, and Gelora Party Secretary-General Mahfuz Sidik.
