Gerindra: Prabowo Wants Solid Law Enforcement
Wakil Ketua Umum Partai Gerindra Habiburokhman has stated that President Prabowo Subianto has issued directives regarding the handling of alleged corruption involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. He said the head of state wants solidarity among law enforcement institutions. “Pak Prabowo certainly wants law enforcers to be solid, all out,” Habiburokhman said at the DPR complex, Jakarta, on Saturday, 11 July 2026. The Chairman of House Commission III said he has brought together the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office. According to him, the two law enforcement institutions have committed to synergising in resolving three corruption cases allegedly involving Febrie Adriansyah. Febrie Adriansyah has been named a suspect in alleged corruption cases at PT Asabri, PT Krakatau Steel, and a coal supply corruption case that caused power outages in several regions. The suspect designation occurred shortly after Febrie Adriansyah announced his resignation as Jampidsus at the Attorney General’s Office. Habiburokhman stressed that law enforcement must continue to investigate the alleged corruption cases. “This resignation must not slow down or stop the ongoing legal process,” he said. The legal commission has formed a supervisory team working committee. Habiburokhman said this is his commission’s commitment to ensuring the case is investigated thoroughly. “We in Commission III will continue to ensure the oversight function runs optimally,” he said. Furthermore, he stated that the alleged corruption incident currently being investigated by law enforcement is not an institutional policy. Rather, he said, the alleged corruption case involves individuals or certain persons. “Therefore, there should be no confrontation or sectoral ego conflicts between institutions,” he said.
