The Gerindra Party has warned against the diversion of subsidised fuel, particularly diesel, and has prepared a 10 million rupiah reward for members of the public who record and provide information about subsidised fuel theft.

“Gerindra has prepared 10 million rupiah for any member of the public who provides information about subsidised fuel diversion, particularly diesel,” said Bambang Haryadi, Chairman of the Gerindra Party’s Central Executive Board, to journalists on Saturday (14 March 2026).

The secretary of Gerindra’s parliamentary faction noted that the public could provide information by recording evidence of subsidised fuel diversion. One form of such diversion, he stated, involves the transfer of subsidised fuel from petrol station tanks to other locations using vehicles during the night.

Haryadi urged the public to submit recorded evidence to Gerindra’s local district branch (DPC) or parliamentary members. Citizens can also report the matter to Gerindra members at all levels of government.

“Please record any suspected or alleged subsidised fuel diversion activities and submit the evidence to local Gerindra officials, whether at the district level or to Gerindra parliamentary faction members at the district or city level,” Haryadi said.

Haryadi urged the public not to fear reporting criminal activity, referencing alleged collusion between dishonest fuel station operators and distributors.

“Subsidised fuel is intended only for public transport, farmers and fishermen. Gerindra opposes subsidised fuel diversion and this must be monitored collectively to ensure proper targeting,” he concluded.
