Gerindra Legislator Inspects Bulog Warehouse in Lumajang to Ensure Rice Stock Security

Kawendra stated that the visit was also to ensure the availability of food stocks, particularly rice, in a secure condition and to support supply stability in the area. “The stock here is extraordinary; Alhamdulillah, we are very pleased with the abundant stock, and we ensure that in any circumstances, we will never lack rice,” Kawendra said in a written statement on Monday (4/5/26). In addition to ensuring stock availability, Kawendra highlighted the absorption of farmers’ harvest results, which he assessed as running optimally from local farmers. “And all the farmers here have their produce absorbed; in fact, due to the abundance of stock, Bulog has even rented another warehouse,” he said. According to him, this condition serves as proof that the food self-sufficiency programme is beginning to show real results in the region. This is in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision in realising national food sovereignty. “So, rice self-sufficiency is real, and Mr Prabowo’s programme on how we can become a sovereign programme capable of achieving food self-sufficiency, and in the future, energy self-sufficiency can be realised,” he concluded.
