Gerindra Legislator Distributes Aid to Fire Victims in Medan

Gerindra party legislator M. Husni directly inspected the fire site at Jalan Turi Ujung, Timbang Deli Ward, Medan Amplas District, Medan City, North Sumatra, today. The visit serves as a tangible expression of the people’s representative’s concern for residents impacted by the disaster, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s instructions. Husni not only observed the on-site conditions but also brought aid to alleviate the burden on the victims. “The aid distributed includes basic necessities, clothing, and various household items needed by residents following the fire,” said M. Husni in a written statement on Monday (30/3/2026). The aid provided includes three mattresses, three family kits, three blankets, three child supply packages, six basic necessity packages, six adult clothing packages, and six sarongs. During the event, he also took the time to engage in direct dialogue with the victims, listening to their stories and complaints while offering encouragement to remain strong and resilient in facing difficult circumstances. “This is in line with Prabowo’s directive to always stand by the people, especially in emergency and challenging situations like those faced by the fire victims in Medan Amplas,” he concluded. For additional information, the visit was accompanied by Medan Amplas District Head Zulfahmi Tarigan, District Secretary Dedy Wahyu Utama, Timbang Deli Ward Head Vivi Andriani, as well as local district and ward officials. Through this aid, it is hoped that the handling of the fire’s impacts can be accelerated, ensuring that the basic needs of the affected residents are well met.
