Gerindra Congratulates Jokowi on Political Safari: He Is Healthy and Fit

The Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prasetyo Hadi, extended his congratulations to the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who commenced his political safari on Friday, 26 June 2026.

Prasetyo stated that Jokowi’s political tour indicates that his health condition is steadily improving. “We convey our congratulations because it means he is healthy and fit again, as he was previously somewhat unwell,” Prasetyo told reporters at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, 26 June 2026.

Furthermore, Gerindra raised no objections to Jokowi’s decision to undertake these political tours. According to Prasetyo, Jokowi remains a national figure and a statesman. “As a national figure and statesman, I believe there is no issue,” he added.

It was previously reported that the 7th President, Joko Widodo, began his political safari by visiting Lampung as his first destination. Over the next three days, Jokowi is scheduled to participate in several agendas alongside volunteers and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

Before departing from Adi Soemarmo Airport in Solo on Friday, 26 June 2026, Jokowi was seen wearing a shirt and a hat bearing the PSI logo. According to Jokowi, the entire agenda in Lampung has been organised in collaboration with volunteers and PSI officials.

“The event rundown has been prepared; it is quite packed, involving both volunteers and PSI,” said Jokowi.

During the visit, Jokowi stated that he intends to provide guidance and motivation to PSI cadres. He believes that strengthening the party’s structure must be completed promptly to prepare for the 2029 General Election contest.

“For PSI, I want to act as a motivator and also convey important messages regarding the necessity of completing the PSI structure immediately, so that it becomes a large political machine,” he explained.

In addition to encouraging internal party consolidation, Jokowi noted that increasing political awareness among the public is also a vital agenda that must be developed. “Furthermore, raising the political awareness of the people is also important,” he added.

When asked about the PSI attributes he was wearing, Jokowi mentioned that the shirt and hat were sent by the Chairman of PSI, Kaesang Pangarep. “Yes, they were sent by Chairman Kaesang, so I am wearing them,” Jokowi concluded.
