Geopolitical Conflict and Economic Pressure Can Trigger Stress, Public Urged to Maintain Healthy Lifestyles
Ongoing global geopolitical conflict is seen as having the potential to impact public health, primarily through increased stress levels caused by economic uncertainty and world conditions. The public is therefore encouraged to maintain a healthy lifestyle and increase health awareness from an early stage.
Petrus Freddy Cahyono, CEO of PT Pravidna Nanoteknologi Indonesia, said various global challenges have the potential to affect public health conditions over the next few years. According to Petrus, psychological pressure from economic uncertainty and international conflict can lead to an increase in health disorders.
“With the challenges, many people are stressed, and clearly, illness will increase. The stress of economic growth and development, the stress of relations between the West and the Middle East, is causing our health to deteriorate,” Petrus said in Bandung.
Petrus assessed that the Indonesian public not only needs good nutritional and protein intake but also needs to maintain overall physical health quality to remain productive and have good resilience. According to Petrus, health awareness needs to continue to be improved so that the public can face various challenges arising from changes in global conditions.
He also expressed hope that the development of health technology can increasingly help the public obtain alternative treatments for various diseases through more modern approaches. “My hope is that there is no need to worry because we have God-given blood that can answer all our futures,” said Petrus.
Petrus appreciated the visit of several Ukrainian representatives to Indonesia who helped introduce health technology based on regenerative therapy. According to Petrus, innovation in the health sector can be one effort to improve the quality of life for the public.
As is known, global geopolitical conditions are still overshadowed by tensions in several regions of the world, which impact the international economy. This uncertainty also affects economic sentiment and social conditions in various countries, including Indonesia.
