Geologists face fraud lawsuit

JAKARTA (JP): Jakarta Prosecutor Office is now preparing to
file a lawsuit against nine geologists who allegedly falsified
the results of a reclamation survey for Pantai Kapuk, a coastal
area in West Jakarta.

"The nine geologists are from a noted university in Bandung,
West Java. They are accused of having forged the survey results
for the reclamation of Pantai Kapuk," Suyoto, the chief
prosecutor, said.

Suyoto refused to reveal the name of the university and the
identities of the geologists and the party which suffered due to
the falsification of the information in the report.

"We are still studying the case so we cannot release any
further statements on this matter. But one thing for sure is that
there will be three dossiers on the case," Suyoto said. (mas)
