PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) has partnered with PT Danareksa (Persero) to implement green industry practices in industrial areas managed by Danareksa Holding.

The partnership was formalised with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing for green industry implementation in Danareksa Holding’s industrial zones at Danareksa Tower on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

Geo Dipa Energy Managing Director Yudistian Yunis stated that the MoU is a concrete step to accelerate geothermal energy utilisation for economic growth.

He added that as a Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) under the Ministry of Finance, Geo Dipa is tasked with supporting green energy adoption to enhance national industrial competitiveness.

‘This initial step is expected to gain support from all stakeholders to boost Indonesia’s green-based competitiveness,’ Yudistian said in a statement on Sunday, 23 May 2026.

The project will serve as a pilot for renewable energy use in the national power system.

Green electricity is deemed crucial to meet industrial tenants’ needs, particularly export-oriented companies increasingly adopting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards in their supply chains.

Danareksa Managing Director Yadi Jaya Ruchandi said green electricity demand in industrial zones has become a strategic factor for global businesses.

‘That is why we have designated KITB as the first pilot project of this partnership, to later be replicated across other Danareksa industrial zones,’ Yadi said.

Meanwhile, PLN Chairman Burhanuddin Abdullah, who attended the signing, added that the initiative aligns with the government’s Asta Cita programme to build a cleaner, more sustainable economy.

He stated that implementing the cooperation plan is expected to accelerate economic growth while delivering broader societal benefits.
