GenRe Programme Accelerates Stunting Reduction
The Generasi Berencana (GenRe) programme has a strategic role in supporting various government programmes, including accelerating stunting reduction and improving family quality.
This was stated by the Head of the BKKBN Representation for Central Java Province, Rusman Efendi, during the inauguration of the Mayor of Tegal, Dedy Yon Supriyono, along with his wife, Gadis Sephi Febriana Dedy Yon, as Ayah and Bunda GenRe for Tegal City 2026. The inauguration of the two was held at the Adipura Building on Wednesday afternoon (8/4).
“We extend our congratulations to the Mayor and the Mayor’s wife of Tegal on their inauguration as Ayah and Bunda GenRe for Tegal City,” said Rusman Efendi.
Rusman hopes that GenRe can become the forefront in building a healthy, planned, and quality young generation. “GenRe has a strategic role in supporting various government programmes, including accelerating stunting reduction and improving family quality,” he explained.
Dedy Yon stated that the GenRe programme is a strategic step in preparing a quality, characterful young generation with mature life planning. Adolescents are a very valuable national asset.
“They are the successor generation that will determine the direction of development in the future, so they need proper guidance and mentoring,” said Dedy Yon.
The Mayor emphasised that the role of Ayah and Bunda GenRe is very important as inspirational figures, motivators, and companions for adolescents in facing the challenges of the times, especially in the increasingly complex digital era.
According to him, the development of Tegal City does not only focus on infrastructure but also on human resource development, particularly the young generation.
“Through the GenRe programme, we want to encourage adolescents to have good life planning, from education, career, to family life, so that they grow into healthy, intelligent, and morally upright individuals,” explained Dedy Yon.
He also stressed the importance of the role of all parties in guiding the young generation, from families, schools, to community environments.
“This inauguration momentum must become the starting point of a joint commitment to present real programmes that directly touch the lives of adolescents in Tegal City,” he said.
Dedy Yon appreciated the role of BKKBN and all stakeholders who have synergised in successfully implementing the GenRe programme.
