General Suyudi Kisses Mother's Hand Immediately After Being Sworn In as National Police Chief
National Police Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto now occupies the highest position within the Indonesian National Police (Polri). The moment Suyudi reached the pinnacle of his policing career was witnessed by his mother.
Suyudi’s inauguration as Chief of National Police was held at the State Palace on Thursday (1/10/2026). In the presence of President Prabowo Subianto, Suyudi took his oath of office.
From the rear of the inauguration room, his wife, children, and mother witnessed this significant day for Suyudi. Once the inauguration process was complete, Suyudi approached them.
Suyudi immediately kissed the hand of his mother, who was seated in a wheelchair. He lowered himself, kneeling to be at eye level with her.
He was seen conversing with his mother, before kissing her forehead and embracing her. Subsequently, Suyudi hugged his wife and children one by one. An atmosphere of profound emotion emerged from the warmth shared by Suyudi and his family.
It is noted that Prabowo also appointed General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the outgoing Chief of National Police, as the Chief of Staff to the Presidency (KSP). General Sigit replaces General (Ret.) TNI Dudung Abdurachman, who previously held the position.
Suyudi Receives the Tribrata Banner
One day after being inaugurated by President Prabowo, General Suyudi Ario Seto received the Polri Tribrata Banner from General Listyo Sigit. This signifies the official handover of leadership within the Indonesian National Police.
The handover took place during a ceremony at the Bhayangkara Field, National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Friday (2/10) afternoon.
The Head of Public Relations of the National Police Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, stated that the banner handover process is an inseparable part of leadership regeneration within the Bhayangkara Corps.
“We wish to convey that today, specifically on 2 October 2026, is part of the series of events regarding the change of leadership within the Indonesian National Police environment,” Trunoyudo told journalists at the location.
Trunoyudo explained that the Tribrata Banner is the highest symbol of integrity and devotion for every member of the Bhayangkara.
“This Polri Tribrata banner is a very important part because the banner serves as a symbol of honour and noble values that guide the execution of Polri’s duties,” Trunoyudo explained.
