General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, Chief of the Presidential Staff Office, conducted a working visit to the MRT Jakarta project, descending into the depths of the capital’s underground. During the visit on Thursday (18/6/2026), he toured the Blok M area and the Monas Station construction site in Central Jakarta. He expressed appreciation for the overall progress of Phase 2A construction, which had reached approximately 60 per cent as of 25 May 2026. Dudung Abdurachman was accompanied by PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) President Director Tuhiyat, Business Development Director Farchad Mahfud, and Construction Director Weni Maulina. The working visit began at Blok M, which has re-emerged as a centre of urban activity. Dudung Abdurachman observed first-hand several results of supporting infrastructure revitalisation for the transit-oriented development, such as the Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park and Blok M Hub. He stated that the working visit was part of the Presidential Staff Office’s duties and responsibilities to monitor and evaluate national strategic projects, as well as a form of support for accelerating the development of an integrated modern urban railway system in Indonesia.
