Genera-Z 2026 Participants Deploy to Four Tourism Villages

Participants of Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 will implement their ideas in four tourism villages after completing a series of processes from selection and bootcamp to the final round. Four top teams have been selected as winners of the student call for proposal programme to begin their initiatives in the villages.

They are Team Laskar Selasik (UGM) in Terong Creative Tourism Village, Belitung Regency; Team Mega Lestari (UNPAD) in Gunung Padang Site Tourism Village, Cianjur Regency; Team Amerta Pertiwi (UNAIR) in Patakbanteng Tourism Village, Wonosobo Regency; and Team KATALIS (UI) in Kakaskasen Dua Tourism Village, Tomohon City.

BCA Bakti Ambassador and Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 panellist, Nicholas Saputra, explained that the four winners offered solutions worth anticipating in their respective destination villages. “We hope all selected universities can map out problems and offer relevant solutions in the field. Hopefully, all winners will better understand the community’s needs once they are on the ground, so they can determine priorities and refine their respective programmes,” Nicholas said via a written statement on Tuesday (28/7/2026).

Before departing for the villages, the Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 winners attended a bootcamp to receive training on community needs mapping, programme planning, team building, data processing, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) knowledge. A member of the UGM team, Fauzyiah, said the bootcamp was an experience that strengthened her team’s readiness before engaging directly with the community.

“This bootcamp really helped us improve our skills while reminding us that as young people we must continue learning, developing skills, and staying on track towards the goals we want to achieve,” said the woman familiarly called Uzi.

A member of the Unair team, Usamah, considered the training to have provided a new understanding of the meaning of service. “We must understand problems from the community’s perspective and build change together with them, not come as parties who feel we know best. From there, a sustainable impact can be created,” said Usamah.
