JAKARTA — The crypto investment platform Upbit Indonesia is strengthening education on crypto assets for the younger generation through a series of roadshows in Solo and Yogyakarta as part of Crypto Literacy Month (BLK) 2026.

This activity forms part of the industry’s efforts to enhance public understanding of digital assets, in line with the growth in the number of crypto investors in Indonesia, particularly from the Gen Z demographic.

Crypto Literacy Month is an annual initiative spearheaded by the Indonesian Blockchain Association (ABI) in collaboration with regulators to bolster societal literacy regarding the digital asset ecosystem.

At the event held at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) in Solo, the discussion centred on the theme “Gen Z & Crypto: Financially Savvy or Just Following Trends?”.

The discussion spotlighted the rising participation of the younger generation in crypto investments, driven by the ease of access to information and the influence of social media.

However, amid high adoption rates, challenges related to understanding risks and making rational investment decisions remain a key concern.

“The younger generation today has vast access to information, but the challenge lies in processing that information into a comprehensive understanding. At Upbit, we view literacy as the primary foundation so that users not only participate but also comprehensively understand the risks and potential of crypto assets,” stated Resna in a press release on Monday (27/4/2026).

According to Resna, education reinforced through forums like these is expected to help young investors gain a more thorough understanding of crypto assets, rather than merely following trends.

The series of events continued at Duta Wacana Christian University (UKDW) in Yogyakarta with a discussion titled “Measuring Crypto 2026: Supercycle or Bearish?”.

Several perspectives in the discussion indicated that the crypto market is moving towards a more mature phase, with a focus on fundamentals, though it remains influenced by global macroeconomic conditions and market dynamics.

Through this discussion, Upbit Indonesia emphasised the importance of a more prudent approach to viewing crypto assets, not just as short-term opportunities but as part of the evolving future digital financial ecosystem.

Resna affirmed that enhancing crypto literacy cannot be achieved by one party alone but requires collaboration across stakeholders.

According to him, the quality of users’ understanding will be one of the factors determining the future growth of the crypto industry in Indonesia.

“Looking ahead, we believe that the growth of the crypto industry in Indonesia will be greatly determined by the quality of its users’ literacy. Therefore, Upbit Indonesia will continue to play an active role in delivering relevant, inclusive, and sustainable educational initiatives,” Resna stated.
