Gemini Spark arrives in Indonesia as 24/7 personal AI agent

Google has introduced Gemini Spark, a personal AI agent available 24/7 for Google AI Ultra and Google AI Pro customers, designed to handle various automatable digital tasks. From organising cluttered Gmail inboxes to managing weekend schedules, Gemini Spark can perform these tasks on behalf of users.

“Gemini Spark can work behind the scenes, even when your laptop is closed or your phone is locked. Operating within Google’s secure cloud infrastructure, Spark connects directly with various Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Docs, and Sheets without requiring additional setup,” according to a Google statement regarding Gemini Spark released on Thursday.

Gemini Spark is set to arrive in Indonesia within the next few weeks and will be available in both Indonesian and English. Rather than acting merely as a reactive assistant that answers questions, this AI agent is designed to be a partner capable of completing digital work. Furthermore, Gemini Spark is engineered to request user approval before performing high-risk actions, such as financial transactions or sending emails, ensuring that users maintain primary control over the tasks assisted by the agent.

“Powered by Gemini 3.5, this new tool is designed to help manage various time-consuming digital tasks according to your instructions, allowing you to refocus on what matters,” Google explained regarding the technology powering Gemini Spark.

To demonstrate the utility of Gemini Spark, Google shared several prompt ideas tailored to user needs. For instance, frequent travellers can instruct the agent to “Every time a new flight or hotel booking confirmation email arrives, automatically add the details to my Google Sheet Itinerary.” For those seeking local experiences, a user visiting Bali could prompt: “Find interesting local events and activities in Bali during my stay, and add them to my calendar on my free days.”

For business professionals, Gemini Spark can be used to summarise business requirements. An example prompt includes: “Check my email inbox for inquiries from potential customers. Automatically create draft replies recommending services and pricing packages based on their requests. Save them in my drafts folder for me to review later.”
