Gemini can now import users' chat histories from other AI chatbots
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Google Gemini is reportedly now capable of importing users’ chat histories with other artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots such as ChatGPT or Claude.
This feature has just been introduced by Google to assist users who previously used other AI chatbots in switching to the Gemini service more easily.
According to a report from GSM Arena on Friday (27/3) local time, this feature will be useful for users who frequently switch between one AI chatbot and another.
With the ease of importing chat histories, the Gemini chatbot will be able to provide more relevant answers on topics to be discussed with users based on those conversations.
After that, copy the response from the AI chatbot to the Gemini import tool, and the user has completed the chat history import process.
By taking those steps, users give Gemini access to their preferences collected by other AI chatbots.
When users interact with Gemini, the imported chat history will help Gemini generate more contextual and personalised responses.
Alternatively, users can export their chat history from other chatbots and upload it to Gemini. Note that Google’s AI assistant only supports ZIP files up to 5GB.
It should also be remembered that Gemini cannot import project files or other attachments.
