Jakarta — The Central Leadership Council of Gema Bangsa party has condemned every act of military aggression and violation of state sovereignty that triggers armed conflict escalation in the Middle East region.

Ary Oskandar, Head of the Gema Bangsa party’s Foreign Affairs division, stated that the use of armed force exceeding principles of international law constitutes an arrogance of power that threatens world peace and endangers human safety.

“There is no political justification whatsoever that can justify actions that expand war and increase civilian casualties,” said Ary in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.

Ary also emphasised that every form of armed intervention that disregards the sovereignty of other nations constitutes a serious violation of the United Nations Charter and represents a direct threat to global stability.

“War is not a solution. War is a failure of diplomacy and a failure of leadership,” he said.

He reminded that Indonesia, based on constitutional mandate and a policy of free and active foreign policy, must not become a tool, must not be a follower, and must not submit to pressure from any global power. The nation’s stance must stand firm: siding with peace, with international law, and with national interests.

In this context, Gema Bangsa party declared firmly:

  1. Condemning every form of aggression and unilateral military action that expands conflict and sacrifices civilians.

  2. Urging the immediate cessation of all military operations that could trigger wider regional war.

  3. Demanding the international community end double standards in enforcing international law.

  4. Requesting the Indonesian government take bold and active diplomatic steps, not merely symbolic ones.

  5. Demanding concrete government action to protect Indonesian citizens and safeguard national economic stability from the impact of energy volatility, inflation, and exchange rate pressure.

“Global conflict escalation will have direct impacts on energy prices, subsidy burdens, rupiah stability, and people’s purchasing power. The Indonesian people must not become victims of geopolitical ambitions they did not create,” he said.
